120 year old Niebling Auto Body gets energy efficient lighting!

Louis Niebling, a German wagon maker, immigrated to South St. Louis from Germany in 1887. He opened his first wagon shop on South Broadway in 1892. A tornado destroyed the shop in 1895. Louis preserved and started again, building his new 2 story shop at Niebling Auto Body’s current location on South 12th Street.

By 1905, Niebling was building was building the bodies of Mack’s 5 ton trucks. A year later Niebling started building automobile body’s for St. Louis’ first car manufacturing company, St. Louis Car Company. Niebling Auto Body has changed and grown over their 120 years. Their constant is quality care and commitment to their customers.
